Jayne has had the privilege of training under world-class American Pickleball Pro Tour athletes Riley Newman and Morgan Evans, gaining insight into elite strategy, advanced shot selection, court positioning, and high-performance coaching techniques. Learning directly from two of the sport’s most respected professionals has shaped Jayne’s coaching style—combining technical excellence, tactical awareness, and an engaging, athlete-focused approach that helps players of all levels rapidly improve their game.

Jayne’s husband Anthony—affectionately known on court as “The Mantis”—also boasts an impressive collection of medals. When he’s not competing, he’s a dedicated high school maths teacher, and he brings that same passion for learning and performance into his pickleball coaching.

Jayne and Anthony’s daughter, Emi, born in 2022, is already part of the family legacy. She “claimed” her first two state titles before she was even born, helping her mum secure gold in both the 5.0+ Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles events at the 2022 WA Championships from the comfort of the womb!

WHAT OUR PLAYER GROUP SAYS

We have earned the trust and satisfaction from hundreds of local and visiting players by providing reliable, high-quality pickleball sessions. See what they're saying.

I recently visited Power Pickleball. These guys are super friendly with a warm introduction to the members and a welcome back for some players who had not been in a while.

The best part of the group was that it was super fun.

At the end of an evening of clear rotations, they had a "glow-in-the-dark" set of games with fluorescent balls and blacklights. I was so impressed that I drove down several times from Bunbury.

This level of innovation and friendly coaching was led by the enthusiasm of club coach Jayne who has a formidable pickleball CV. My major boast of my time in Busselton was that I won about 2 points off Jayne.

Highly recommended for a social night out or for the pickleball tragic such as myself. (Perhaps I should mention the only reason I won any points from Jayne was that she was 7 months pregnant.) Next time I am down I will definitely get some formal coaching from Jayne.

Visiting Player

A huge thank you to coach Jayne from Power Pickleball and everyone at Busselton Pickleball Club!

Traveling with my paddle led me to some incredible games with these amazing ballers. I've been around the sport for a while and visited many venues, but the welcoming atmosphere here stood out.

Jayne's knowledge and ability to educate are top-notch—the drill session was exactly what I needed to level up my game.

To everyone I played with, thank you for the great matches and the fun. If you're traveling, I encourage you to stay active and connected—pickleball brings people together everywhere you go! Keep playing, learning, and having fun on the court!

Visiting Player

Playing in Power Pickleball sessions is so much fun. My wife and l are approaching retirement age and find pickleball less stressful on our bodies than other sports we've tried.

The organisation is what makes every session so enjoyable. The coach ensures my wife and I get to play some games together, and I still get to have a hard hit against the other men while my wife enjoys fun games with the other ladies.

Socially pickleball is great. The background music creates the perfect atmosphere to have a boogie with the good friends we've made at pickleball.

Started playing with us in 2020, having never played before.

I had a fantastic experience at my first training session with Jayne. I was paired with players at a similar skill level, which made the drills both challenging and engaging. Each drill was timed perfectly-long enough to practice and build confidence, but not so long that it felt repetitive.

The skills I learned were directly applicable to gameplay, and I left feeling more prepared and excited to improve. I'm definitely signing up for more!

I love playing in Power Pickleball sessions at Busselton Pickleball Club! The music, friendly people, and endless laughs make every session so much fun.

I play twice a week, and the indoor courts are my favorite—they’re easy on my knees, with bright, clear lines with no other lines to get confused with.

Compared to playing elsewhere, where it was windy, hot, and less challenging games against first-timers for the duration of every session, and the skill-based matchups organised by Coach Jayne are a game-changer.

If you’ve tried pickleball elsewhere and didn’t enjoy it, give Power Pickleball a go—it’s a whole new experience!

Jayne isn't just a coach, she's a game-changer! Her group sessions are the perfect mix of sweat and fun, and her coaching has helped me hone my skills ready for competition. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro, Jayne's got your back (and your forehand!).

Power Pickleball sessions at Busselton Pickleball Club are for anyone who wants to level up their game and have a blast doing it.

Power Pickleball sessions are always fun and engaging. The drills are excellent and really focus on shots that we then use in match play.

Jayne is an encouraging coach and gives feedback during and after the match. I am so grateful for her professional coaching skills.

USEFUL INFO ONCE YOU'VE BOOKED YOUR SPOT TO PLAY

Thanks for booking your spot to play — we can’t wait to have you join us! Please take a moment to read the helpful information below. If you have any questions, feel free to SMS Coach Jayne on 0417-950-474.

If you haven’t booked your spot yet, you can do so here: https://powerpickleball.au/book

If you’re no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking on Punchpass the same way you booked it, or simply click the Cancel link in your booking confirmation email from Punchpass. Please do this ASAP so the spot you had reserved can be allocated to a player on the waiting list. Our cancellation window is one hour prior to the session starting.

We prepare match-ups one hour before the session starts. If something comes up within that hour and you can no longer attend, please SMS Coach Jayne on 0417-950-474 and cancel your booking on Punchpass as soon as possible so we can adjust the match-ups. Please note that late cancellations (made less than one hour prior to the session starting) and no-shows are still charged automatically by Punchpass, as the cut-off for offering your spot to a wait-listed player will have passed, and late-cancellation and no-show fees apply in line with our Terms & Conditions.

If you arrive late or leave early, the other players on your court miss out on a full, enjoyable game because they are left one player short. Please keep this in mind when booking your spot.

If you are running late, please SMS Coach Jayne on 0417-950-474 with your ETA so she can adjust the match-ups accordingly. A $10 fee may apply for late arrival or early departure. (Please note this does not apply if you leave early due to an injury sustained during the session.)

The location of each session is shown in the event address when you book your spot on Punchpass. After booking, you’ll also receive a confirmation email with the venue address as a clickable link for directions. In most cases, sessions are held at our indoor venue: High St Hall, 47 Bussell Hwy, West Busselton.

If you're new to pickleball, please familiarise yourself with the rules of pickleball by watching these three short videos before your first session:

  1. https://powerpickleball.au/simple-rules-of-pickleball

  2. https://powerpickleball.au/pickleball-scoring-format

  3. https://powerpickleball.au/playing-format-and-how-to-play-safely

In video 3, pay attention to the importance of moving forward to the "non-volley zone" (also known as the "kitchen"). In pickleball, it is detrimental and unsafe to stay back at the baseline for the whole rally like you do in tennis.

The phrase to help you remember how to play is:

Serve & Stay, Return & Run

Serve & Stay: The serving team has to stay behind the baseline after they serve because they have to let the return of serve bounce. Once they've hit the return of serve back, they should run in to the "kitchen".

Return & Run: The returning team should return the serve and then run in straight away to the "kitchen".

You will hear the commentator refer to the "third" - that's the "third shot", where the serve is the first shot, the return of serve is the second shot, and the next shot that the serving team hits is the third shot. This shot is so important because you have to keep it low or make it drop in the "kitchen". If you hit it high, your opponents will just smash it away for an easy winner.

Loan entry-level paddles and balls are available at no extra cost for any player who needs them. If you’re looking to upgrade, we also have a range of intermediate, advanced and pro-level paddles you can try before you buy!

Whether you’re just starting out or chasing pro-level performance, we’ve got you covered. We stock a range of beginner, intermediate, advanced, and professional paddles — and you can even try before you buy to find the perfect fit for your game!

Each session begins with a 15-minute warm-up, followed by five 15-minute rounds of carefully organised match-ups. Games are skill-based, so you’ll play with and against a range of players at a similar level. If you’ve listed a friend on your registration and they’ve also booked in, we’ll make sure you get some court time together.

Most of our sessions are held indoors, so rain is rarely an issue. However, for any outdoor sessions, if the courts are too wet to play on, we will relocate to High St Hall (subject to availability). If this happens, we will notify everyone who has booked via email and update the event details on Punchpass.
